There is no remorse, no guilt, no shame,
because real love is what remains.
You can now see,
what truly was meant to be.
Embrace and enjoy it for what it is,
be not afraid of the joy it gives.
Take what is rightfully yours,
and open all the closed doors.
Because together we decided so,
goodbye we say to the dark crow,
that has circled above our heads,
for years tearing us to shreds.
We were never able to,
pick up the pieces and undo,
alone that task,
was too much to ask.
But now we have found,
in each other our own ground,
to stand with two feet,
firmly planted with no retreat.
As one we will stand,
and separately demand,
everything that life has to give,
and in that world we choose to live.
