What is a mother?
Many will say she’s a creator.
Many will say there is no other.
I say she’s a gift, of value no greater.
Like the Earth is a gift,
One that gives life,
A seed that’s planted and enriched,
One that grows despite the strife,
But that seed cannot grow alone,
It needs the sun’s light,
That the Sky will loan,
For growth is a perilous fight,
God has seen to it,
That no child of His can grow,
Without the Earth and Sky to commit,
To the soul they reap and sow,
So a mother is the Earth,
A mother is the Sky,
A mother is all that’s in between,
A mother is what makes everything green.
