An angel came to me,
like honey attracts the bee,
delivering a message from her,
my mind became an utter blur.
She says I will never be alone,
if I give away all that I have known,
sit upon this golden throne,
it is for you that I built it to atone.
She says a lover will appear,
full of doubtful fear,
that he is not good enough,
but you will call his bluff.
She says the beauty of my heart,
will bring in him a new start,
and he will one day recognize,
the beauty within him is no disguise.
She says it is the simple reflection,
that seals our connection,
my beautiful heart is what he’ll see,
in the mirror of his vanity.
She says he will burst out of his skin,
before he can accept the beauty within,
and like Judas he will hold on to this belief,
until the touch of your warmth gives him reprieve.
