Lovers come and go,
often with much sorrow,
few can overcome,
the loss to gain wisdom,
Beauty grows within,
a new day can now begin,
something deeper has set in,
mistaken much with sin,
One love becomes another,
second chance to be wiser,
this love can’t ever fail,
its not built upon the frail,
As friends we’ll remain,
many will call us insane,
former lovers with such history,
now live as friends, blissfully.
